It's a fact that there is a considerable seasonal element to the economy and lifestyles of Sarasota and Manatee Counties.
While tourism does represent a significant part of the local economy, it's not the entire story by a long shot.
High-tech industry, buisness and bakning services and educational sectors are well represented. Unemployment is generally low, as is the cost of living. Real estate saw a hugh boom over the past decade, but recently, prices and choices are favorig buyers once again.
