Bridgewalk is a vacation resort that offers apartment-style accommodations on Bradenton Beach. It sits on Anna Maria Island looking over the Gulf of Mexico. Tourists describe Bridgewalk as a great place with great staff.
This resort has an excellent location in that historic Bridge Street is home to fantastic shops, restaurants and bars. The accommodations are right across the beach and chairs are provided just in case you want to take in another view of the beach before the sun sets.
Anna Maria Island is all about sand dunes and evergreen trees. You'll be happy to note that there are no high-rise condominiums or hotels overlooking the Gulf. Situated at the heel of Tampa Bay, the Island that houses Bridgewalk still maintains the feel of a laid-back and old-fashioned Florida. Bridgewalk is really about taking out time for beach strolls, fine dining and exquisite accommodations.
Bridgewalk offers 28 large rooms encased in Key West style accommodations. The featured residences include the Royal Palm Building, comprised of town homes that consist of two story, two bedroom, and two and a half bathrooms with a full kitchen, fireplace, and Jacuzzis. Heated outdoor pools are part of the services offered and the beach towels and umbrellas are also complimentary.
In the studio suite, there is a mini kitchen, large bath with Jacuzzi, dining area, a king bed and a king wall bed along with a veranda. Meanwhile, the studio aparto in the Royal Palm Building houses a full kitchen, large bath with Jacuzzi, living room and dining areas, king wall bed, and a veranda.
And in the Sabal Palm Building, you can opt to stay at a one-bedroom Gulf view aparto. This aparto will have a full kitchen, living and dining area with a queen-sized sofa, bedroom with king sized bed, Jacuzzi, a bath and shower, and a veranda that offers a view of the Gulf.
The Queen Palm Building is host to the Queen Palm Studio Suite, which consists of a mini kitchen along with a dining area, queen sized bed & wall bed, a large bath and a veranda. And the Queen Palm Studio Aparto houses a full kitchen, large bath and Jacuzzi tub, king wall bed, living/dining area, and a veranda.
The Sun House Restaurant is part of the Bridgewalk property and you can enjoy Chef Darrell Maxell's Floribbean flavor combined with southern style home cooking. The daily lunch and dinner specials at this Bridgewalk restaurant are different on all 365 days of the week.
The turquoise Island Trolley will take you anywhere on the 7-mile Island and it's absolutely free - as long as you're renting one of the rooms at Bridgewalk. The Bridge Street Pier is a recently restored dock and here you can go fishing for cobia grouper, pompano sea bass, mackerel mullet, or snapper. The Pier has a historic story in that it is the original wooden plank that served as a bridge from the mainland for nearly 40 years.
