Terra Ceia Bay Country Club
The Terra Ceia Bay Country Club is one of the most challenging golf courses on the Gulf Coast and is located in Palmetto, Florida. It is a difficult par 62-executive golf course and is open for public access. Under the new ownership, the course has undergone enormous changes and developments. John Baxter, the superintendent, tends to convert the course as one of the best in Palmetto. This semi-private course was built in 1984 and offers exclusive services to the golfers.
The 18-hole Terra Ceia Bay Country Club features 4,119 yards of golf space. The course has a rating of 59.8, along with a slope rating of 102. Full practice facilities are offered at the course to encourage the golfing skills of the amateur and learning players. Along with 18 executive holes, the 10 tees driving range is an exclusive feature of the course. The semi-private golf course also offers practice and learning lessons under the training of Dick Lawrence, a renowned golf professional. The Terra Ceia Bay Country Club is the home course for Palmetto H. S. Girls Golf team and encourages other local teams as well.
The Terra Ceia Bay Country Club is open all year around and offers a number of facilities for the golfers. It includes practice area, putting green, chipping green, practice bunker, driving range, etc. Apart from these, this public access golf course also offers a full service bar, dining space, grill room, pro shop, etc. The on-site pro shop opens at 7:30 in the morning and offers all the basic golfing needs including the attire and equipments. The entry fee for this golf course at Palmetto is $28 (18 holes) and $28 (9 holes). This fee also includes the rental cart's charges. You also have the option to go for the rental clubs and pull cart rental at additional charges. Credits cards such as VISA and MasterCard are welcomed for making payments. Golfers can book their tee times 2 days in advance. The golfers need to strictly follow the dress code, which includes collared shirt, and Bermuda shorts. Denims are strictly prohibited. By signing up for the weekly social golf events, you get to meet new people and learn something new about the game.
Since the Terra Ceia Bay Country Club is located adjacent to the scenic bay, it is regarded as one of the most difficult courses in the region. It is also said that the course is a very good medium of testing the golfing abilities and skills of golfers of all strata.
