Waterford Golf Club is a favorite among the regulars. Its beautifully landscape courses are laid out perfectly to offer several rounds of challenging golf. The golf course is designed by Ted McAnlis and features three 9s – each with distinct qualities. This golf course is bordered by a residential community.

People at Waterford challenge you to break their course record of 65 created by golf professional, Paul Azinger. If you think you have it in you, grab your clubs and gloves and start teeing and putting at their well-maintained golf courses.

Award-winning pro shop, a casual dining restaurant and golf instructions are available on site here. You can find this place right in the heart of Venice, just east from the Venice Beach

Waterford Golf Club is located between US 41 and I-75, just minutes from the Gulf and Downtown Venice. The golf courses here are great for anyone who wants to just head out in fresh air and enjoy themselves.

This 27-hole championship golf course is designed by Ted McAnlis. McAnlis's design has been voted "Best Public Golf Course" in the Venice area. There are several other local golf awards won by Waterford. It is also the winner of the "Best Place to Buy Golf Equipment and Supplies." It almost made it for the award of "Best Place to Buy Golf Apparel." These awards were presented by the local newspaper Venice Gondolier and were determined by the votes of the readers.

So now you know - this is the place for golfing and golf shopping in Venice. The pro shop here is open during the operational hours of the golf course, which is 7 am to 6 pm. If you are planning to take some lessons from the golf pro here, hit up the pro shop first for all your equipment and supplies needs before starting on a round of golf. Waterford Golf Club requires players to be in proper golf attire; softspikes are permitted.

The courses at Waterford attract regular golfers as well as novice players. If you plan to head there for a game of golf, you will be pleased by their well-maintained fairways and pristine greens. The courses are laid out with several hazards and water obstacles that make the game even more challenging and absorbing. This Southwest Florida golf club is divided into three 9-hole courses - Turnberry, Gleneagles and Sawgrass. All courses feature sculpted mounting, nice rolling terrain and various elevation changes. It is highly likely that you will encounter a wide variety of wildlife here. Built in the year 1989, Waterford offers naturally beautiful landscapes that make the game of golf even more enjoyable. 

If you trust your shots, who knows you might be able to break the Waterford golf course record of 65, held by PGA tour player Paul Azinger. If needed, you can use the advice of the onsite golf pro, Jack McFaul. McFaul offers instructions and pro tips to beginners as well as advance golfers on the premises. The dedicated Waterford staff also helps out actively in hosting corporate outings, tournaments and leagues. You can take the staff's assistance in planning a social event at their clubhouse.

To help you stay energetic during an engaging game of golf, a nice selection of food and beverages is offered at Waterford's clubhouse restaurant. The restaurant is open from 7:30 am to 3:00 pm daily.

Another best feature of this golf club is its reasonably affordable pricing. For a fine golfing experience, you might have to pay about $50 for 18 holes and close to $30 for 9 holes. There is also an option to play after 3pm at much lower rates. This is a semi-private club allowing guests who have made advance reservations. You can call in to make tee times; tee times are taken no more than 4 days in advance for guests.

There are several lodging options close to this place. Golf Packages are also available through some local accommodations. Waterford has partner programs with some neighboring places to stay like Days Inn Venice, Holiday Inn Venice, Venice Beach Villas and Veranda Inn of Venice.
