Village Green is a classic executive course welcoming professionals and amateurs for some golfing fun. While professionals can take on the challenges of this golf course, its creeks and bunkers, anyway they want, the beginners can use the lessons of Village Green’s golf pros. This is an 18-hole golf course open to the public all year-round.
There is an onsite restaurant with full bar service. A club house is also available for hosting special events. Village Green is located near downtown Sarasota; you will be close to some popular hotels and several restaurants and shopping places.
You like golf, and you need a place where you can play your heart out and not embarrass yourself. Downtown Sarasota's Village Green Golf Club is one such location.
This premier executive golf course is meant for golfers with any amount of experience, and allows the players to enjoy some of the best moments in golf. If you know your tees and putts, you are most welcome to try your luck at this 18-hole golf course. If you are wary of your golf shots, Village Green has arrangements for your training sessions.
With Village Green's two Class-A golf professionals, you can start golf training from a stage as early as learning to hold a golf club. With these two PGA pros, you will know you are in good hands. It is highly unlikely that they will turn you into Tiger Woods or Annika Sörenstam in a jiffy, but they will certainly help you advance from your current stage of golfing and will also offer you some exclusive pro tips.
This 18-hole, par 58 layout keeps golf fun for the beginners, but at the same time, provides a good test for advanced golfers. Here you will find 2,810 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 58. Stay cautious of those 12 sand bunkers on this golf course. And do not take a shot that lands your ball among the trees or in the creek. Sounds challenging? Sure it is. This mini-me of golf courses is easy to play but at the same time, offers tricky shots. This 1968-built facility has the course record of 49. It is open year-round to the public and can be a fun outing for anyone and everyone. Walking is allowed at this golf course. Players can walk or drive in their motorized carts over the course, either alone or with others - you can take your caddies along.
There are two reasons why this premier golf course is called "executive." One because of its not-so huge size and second, because it is a great quick escape for some business executives. This golf course is ideal for people who are sneaking out of their work for some golf; the course is designed to be played quickly by the player who does not have much recreational time on hands.
Village Green has been designed by William Lewis and is currently managed by Jack Binswanger (President/Owner of Village Green). The course is designed to give perfect outing to friends and families. Other than swinging some shots at the fascinating golf course, individuals can also hang out at the restaurant located at Village Green. The restaurant offers a delicious menu and a full bar onsite. If you love golf so much that you would want to organize your special event in a golfing ambiance, you can reserve their club house and give way to your event fantasy. Memberships are available here.
There is also a provision of renting clubs on site; you can also get your personal golf clubs fixed and repaired here. A complete pro shop is open from 7 am to 6 pm everyday. You can buy golf goodies from here for yourself or your family and friends. Gift certificates are also available.
Village Green Golf Club is located nearby several Sarasota hotels. Best Western Midtown, Homewood Suites by Hilton and Howard Johnson Express Inn are less than three miles from here.
If you are even crazier about greens and golf courses and want something more than just a special event here, Village Green offers single family homes and villas for sale. It is popular with retirees but anyone else can equally discover their ideal homes here. Residents enjoy the central location of the community and access to a nice golf course. Shopping and restaurants are pretty close by and Siesta Key beach is only a 20 minute drive from here. You will get beautiful landscaping, a club house and a pool as additional perks for being residents of Village Green.
