Legacy Golf Club

Legacy Golf Club is an award-winning golf course, signature designed by Arnold Palmer and is one of the premier courses in Southwest Florida. The service here is outstanding and this makes it a favorite for local residents and visitors alike.

The Legacy golf course features elevated tees, and almost every hole is boxed in between sand and water. The course consists of 360-foot wide fairways on all corridors. This makes the course look visually challenging and yet reachable to all players.

Among the recognition that Legacy Golf Club has received include 'Best Places to Play' and a rating of '41/2 stars' from Golf Digest in 2008-2009. It was also voted one of the top golf courses in America from the Zagat Survey, 2007-2008. Florida Golf News ranked the Legacy as the No.1 public golf course in Southwest Florida in 2004.

The Palmer Boardroom at the Legacy Golf Club is open to host meetings. The executive style boardroom sits at the center of Lakewood Ranch and is outfitted with a 37" monitor for presentations, wireless functionality, and can seat8 - 12 persons. The room is also great for holding business luncheons as well.

The Legacy also hosts a full service restaurant, the Ranch Grille, which serves lunch every day. The menu at the Grille features salads, sandwiches and grouper, along with chicken and burgers.  The Ranch offers guests an incredible view of the 18^th hole as they dine inside or outside on a veranda. The Ranch Grille also hosts after hours events like private dinners or Christmas Parties. The restaurant is open from 7am to 6:30 pm daily and serves lunch from 10:30 am to 3:30 pm. The Grille also offers continental breakfast every day, and the restaurant has complimentary wireless Internet access. It serves specialty dinners twice a month.

Legacy Practice Facility offers an 8000 square feet putting green, two-tier practice range along with 6 target greens. There is also a practice bunker and chipping green. The facility is open from 7am to 7 pm on a daily basis. The practice facility is open to the public for those who wish to practice and improve their golf game. Practice balls are $7.50 for a bag of 45 balls. Alternatively, you can practice for the whole day for $25. The practice facility at the Legacy Golf Club includes top-notch golf schools along with the one of the best club fitters, the Golf Advantage Inc.

Legacy is home to the Dennis Murray's 'Uncomplicated Golf' School (January to May, 2009), the Missing Link Golf Academy (available throughout the year), Dave Pelz Scoring Game Schools (January 27-31), ESPN Golf Schools (February 28-March 1), and Legacy Summer Junior Camps (June - August). You may also opt for private lessons with Dennis Murray, PGA Director of Instruction, Korey Durkee, PGA Associate Golf Professional, and D.J. Coutu Associate Golf Professional.

In case you don't feel like bringing your own golf clubs to Legacy, you can always use the featured Callaway Club Rentals available at the Golf Club. Legacy Golf Club has more than 25 sets of Callaway Rental clubs - x-20 irons for men and women, along with Big Bertha metals are available for rent. This is also convenient for those who prefer not to you haul golf bags on the flight down and for those who want to try out the latest Callaway clubs
