Quick Point Nature Preserve

January 18, 2012

After decades of abuse, this significant tract of land is being restored to it's original condition - and them some. While restoration is still underway, most of the work has been completed and visitors can marvel at the wildlife attracted by the lagoons and mangrove forest.

Made possible through the foresight of many Longboat Key residents and a financial cooperative effort from local and state government agencies, Quick Point serves as an example of what can and should be done to protect our natural environment.

Run, hike, walk or simply meander through this Nature Preserve and enjoy Florida wetlands at their finest.
